FIRE CHIEF EMPLOYMENT

The City of Red Oak, IA seeks to fill the position of Fire Chief. The City is accepting applications for Fire Chief. Minimum requirements include EMT certification, Paramedic Specialist perfered, extensive knowledge of fire suppression & prevention, valid Iowa Drivers License and a High School Diploma or GED. RED OAK PUBLIC LIBRARY BOARD OF DIRECTORS

The City of Red oak is seeking an individual who is willing to serve on the Red Oak Public Library Board of Directors. Please check the Library Board portion of the web site for an application and more information.

RED OAK COMPOST & BRUSH DROP-OFF SITE

The City of Red Oak’s community compost and brush drop-off sites are located at the City public works yards, located west on 2^nd Avenue. These sites are available for disposal of tree branches and limbs, and yard waste collected from residential properties within the City of Red Oak. In response to concerns from community residents, the City Council has agreed to make these sites available to private citizens AND commercial businesses hauling tree and yard waste as long as that waste comes from residential properties within the city limits of Red Oak. The sites will be open to the public from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Tree branches are to be dropped off just west of the City public works yards on the west side of the levy, and yard waste should be dropped off east of the levy within the fenced in part of the City yards. Please follow the signs. Please remove yard waste from bags and do not deposit bags or any other types of waste at these locations. Abuse of these rules may result in closure of the sites and the loss of this community service. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated!
