RULES AND REGULATIONS
Office hours are 8-noon and 1:00-4:00 pm Monday thru Friday. Cemetery is open from dawn to dusk.
Burial hours are 8-4 pm Monday thru Friday. 8 to noon on Saturdays.
Spring clean up is April 1 of each year. All flowers and decorations must be removed from grave sites by April 1 or the cemetery department will dispose of them. No flowers or decorations will be allowed on the ground during the mowing season (April 1-September 30). The only exception is two weeks before and two weeks after Memorial Day. Two weeks after Memorial Day, the cemetery department will dispose of anything left on the ground.
All vases placed in the ground will be flush with the surface of the ground. When not in use, vases should be inverted and flush with the ground.
Charges are as follows: Full Burial- $600.00
Cremations- $300.00
Infant Burials- $300.00
Charges for disinterment are the same as for internment. If a vault is disinterred and reburied, the cost is $1,200.00, which would be $600.00 for opening each lot. Lot sales are $400.00 per space. BabyLand is free but there is a $300.00 charge for grave opening.
No matter where the burial is in the cemetery, if it is a county funded burial, there will be no grave opening charge.
There is an additional $5.00 administrative charge for each lot (not space) payable to the City included in the payment for the purchase of cemetery lots. This $5.00 is the money that the City collects and then has to forward to the State with the annual report.
The purchaser will also be charged an additional $6.00 per deed for recordation of the transfer in the records of the cemetery maintained by the City.
A fee of $25.00 per deed for recordation of any transfer of any cemetery lot will be charged if the owner requests to trade lots within the cemetery.
All space purchases must be paid in full before any burial is allowed.
Perpetual care for each lot will be 20% of the purchase price of each lot. (This amount is included in the purchase price.) This amount shall be held in a separate account to assure long-term maintenance care of the cemetery.
